The myth that faculty aren’t interested in improving their advising skills was amply disproven by the robust turnout at Dr. Tauber’s workshop on thesis advising at Reed College’s Center for Teaching and Learning. Her insightful and engaging presentation gave faculty new tools to work successfully with a wide range of students and generated demand for further discussion of this critical aspect of faculty work and student success.

I was really stuck when we started working together and I did not think that I was going to be able to finish my dissertation. Your recommendations, modeling of passages, and supportive nature have been and continue to be invaluable. I could not have done this without you. I included you in my acknowledgements.
